audio book rentals: illegal to convert to mp3s on your computer to keep?
I would like to listen to these but cant afford the cost. If I were to rent them from an online store, and then convert them to an mp3 file to keep on my computer, would this be illegal? if so, does anyone know of really cheap online audiobook websites or stores? Thanks!!
yes that would be illegal. If you owned the disk that would be legal for your own use.
Isn’t easier to get books from podiobooks or librvox or maybe an audio drama from audio drama directory
or see if your library website has temporary audio book file
Or check out the book on CD from the library
if you return it on time it is almost free and your taxes will not go down if your not using the library that some of the taxes help fund
